Yes, it fits. But, the volume rockers are completed covered and rendered useless. This item should not have been advertised as being for the 2G. A big disappointment.

It works great as a case, but any owner of an iPod touch knows it also requires an adhesive protector, in order to prevent the screen from scratching.

it had some sort of a loop to hold a stylus such as the Pogo. I have difficulty typing on the Touch and I need to use a stylus.
