Are you able to buy it in the Apple Store without a contract? I don’t mean unlocked, just without a contract. It is for a Christmas present for a person with an older IPhone with a contract with ATT already. How much is it?

I understand wifi and everything, but there is one thing I don’t get. How come apple made the iphone music store that you have to be on wifi to access it? I know that edge access would be slower, but that can’t really be an excuse. Edge and wifi use the same internet, so why [...] I downloaded some podcasts directly to my iPhone with the itunes store app on the iPhone. I now want to delete these, however when I sync my iPhone with my computer they do not show up in itunes on my computer. How do I delete these?
