I have the untried Ipod Nano 8gb. I desire to put movies on my personal into the ipod and i have winavi converter. it lets me to convert to mpeg4 as well as Ipod format. which 1 ought i convert the videos to?

Mp4 and ipod format are the same. As for taking up less space without ditching quality I beleive h.264 is the best in terms of quality/less size.

iPod only supports videos in mp4, H2.64 video format. If not, you may try some third party software. There are some free video converters for iPod, such as Videora, SUPER. They are free, but always do the work without the good performce. Nowadays, there are so many similar not free ipod converteres in the market. You should try your best to choose the best one. I recommend Cucusoft DVD to iPod Video Suite to convert DVD movie and convert videos in any format to iPod. It is the fastest converter I have used.
