I have the new Ipod Nano 8gb. I want to put movies on my computer into the ipod and i have winavi converter. it allows me to convert to mpeg4 as well as Ipod format. which one should i convert the videos to?
if im not mistaken, both formats are compatible with the Ipod, however I want the one that takes up less space and is faster to convert. However, i don’t want to compromise quality too much… Also, whats the differences between the two formats?

Mp4 and ipod format are the same. As for taking up less space without ditching quality I beleive h.264 is the best in terms of quality/less size.
iPod only supports videos in mp4, H2.64 video format. If not, you may try some third party software. There are some free video converters for iPod, such as Videora, SUPER. They are free, but always do the work without the good performce. Nowadays, there are so many similar not free ipod converteres in the market. You should try your best to choose the best one.
