Hello somebody,
iPod to Computer Transfer is designed to help you backup all your files from your iPod. Recover lost or missing music or backup and restore all of your iPod content; including your favorite songs, videos, photos, Play Lists and more. (Photos, Music, artists, albums, ratings and play list library).
It’s fast, easy and wonderful!http://www.ipod-to-computer.net/ipod-to-…
Although iTunes program is very good at keeping a computer-based library synchronized to an iPod automatically it provides exreamly limited functionality for transferring info in the opposite direction-from your iPod back to your computer. one of the likely reasons for Apple to have taken such a restrictive approach to this is to combat piracy and thereby maintain good relations with the music brands that are selling their selling their content via Apple iTunes Store. so it has therefore fallen into the three party developers to pick up where iTunes left off in this regard. and i give a high recommendation to Aniosoft iBackup, which is very robust and full-featured utilitie that will do everything from basic coping of media content back to your hard drive all the way through to rebuilding your entire library using the info on your iPod,complete with playlists, ratings ,and play count info.Among all these apps i would like to recommend Aniosoft ibackup.it enables you to transfer iPod’s music and other content to any storage device and iTunes as well. And both the backup in the storage device can be recovered and restored with no any change and no any risk. And the data in the iTunes is quite in accord with the iPod’s data including its playlists, rating and etc.
So in your case, you can make a music transfer from your iPod to the iTunes in your restored computer with this tool and also make a backup for the ipod’s content somewhere in your restored computer as well.
There is a note that needs your attention, you have to turn off the auto sync of the iTunes before you can make this transfer.
for your convenience,i’ll add the links here:http://www.aniosoft.com
Good luck to you.
itunes blocks this function since itunes is the tool with one way to transfer files from itune to ipod. you must utilize other tools to achieve that. There’re couple of tools for transferring the files between ipod and computer (for backup)depends on your demands, e.g transfer only songs/videos, transfer photos etc. You can have a look of below review site, hope it useful.
Okay what you need to do is google search a program called idump and its a bit hard to find but you will get it, it costs nothing and free download. Then install it which takes 1min and then open it and plug in your iPod touch and it will load up your music, movies & photos and select where you want it to go but the default folder is my music in my documents if you have a PC with Windows XP, Windows Vista. Transfer them and then you can find them in the output folder you selected, so then you need to make sure you have your iTunes Library open and then you can either highlight them all and drag and drop OR you can go to iTunes and go File and then Import Folder and find the songs & movies etc and then add them and there you go they are ready waiting for you and to avoid this problem in future delete everything off your iPod and then click on your iPods name eg. Johns iPod on the left side panel and then it will come up with the summary of it and some options with you now click manage your own music and movies (its something along those lines) and then what you can do is highlight the songs and movies you want in iTunes and drag them onto eg. Johns iPod so it turns blue and then you can sync you iPod off any computer without worrying about it taking your other songs off but its a good idea you make sure you backup of have another copy of your songs apart from whats on your iPod just in case you break it or something else goes wrong then you haven’t lost them forever.
Hope you are able to understand what im saying because i have said this for many other people and its hard to put it into writing.
Hope this helps you, just e-mail me if you have any problems in relation to this.
Thanks!
Oh and a good idea its to keep a copy of this program on your ipod so just copy ‘n’ paste it into your ipod through my computer just so you can take it with you everywhere you go and don’t worry about it taking up space because its soo tiny.
The most convenient and secure way is to use an iPod-to-computer transfer program to help you, like this handy one called Tansee iPod Transferhttp://www.gutensoft.com/Utilities/Tanse…
Many of my friends are using it for its easy and safe transfer. The whole process goes as follows:
Firstly install this program on your new computer. When you plug your iPod to the computer, this program will instantly display all songs and videos on the iPod.You simply select what you wish to transfer and click “Copy” button. Done. All your selected files will be copied to your computer safely. Now you can easily add those songs and videos to your iTunes library. See detailed guide.
More importantly, this won’t overwrite any original files on your iPod. And all song names are preserved.
Here is step-by-step guide on the whole process:http://gutensoft.com/Guide/How-to-transf…
Best luck!

Here, read this, it’ll tell you how to transfer the songs on your iPod to a new computer:http://ipodtips-tricks.blogspot.com/2008/01/download-transfer-music-ipodto-computer.html
No, there’s no way to do it because the ipod changes the format of the music, it’s not like a flash drive. Don’t sync it because you’ll lose all your stuff.
you have to redownload them unless you got them from itunes then you probbly can get them back
