Set your iPod to manually manage music, and then you can drag music to your iPod from your friend’s computer.
And when you go back to your own computer, to keep those songs, you can use an iPod transfer program to help you copy those songs from your iPod back to your computer and iTunes, like this handy one called Tansee iPod Transferhttp://www.gutensoft.com/Utilities/Tanse…
Many of my friends are using it for its easy and safe transfer.
With just a few simple clicks, it will help you transfer all songs/videos from iPod to your selected folder on your computer, and then you can also easily add those files back to iTunes.
More importantly, this won’t overwrite any original files on your iPod. And all song names are preserved.
Here is the step-by-step guide on the whole process:http://gutensoft.com/Guide/How-to-transf…
    Best luck!

I used this iPod to iPod transfer program on thishttp://ipod-tool.com/ipod-software/ipod-…
It was designed to help transfer music/videos from one iPod to another. Compare songs against two or three iPods at once, remove hundreds of duplicates in seconds, sort by Artist, Genre, Album, or even groupings of similar songs, then all you need is to drag and drop between iPods. Very easy to use. I recommend you try it.
