Then iTunes will recognize them and not remove them from the iPod. Taking the songs off the iPod ond putting them in the iTunes library is the trick. iTunes won't let you do that. You have to use a 3rd party iPod manager. Here are some to try. They are free and can be found on Download.com: iSyncTunes Podlift iPodBackup CopyTrans Manager iPod to Computer Transfer iGrab iPod Manager Froodle pod You have to take the songs off the iPod and put them into your iTunes library.
